Measurement Guide

You'll need a metal measuring tape (not cloth), a pencil, and paper to record measurements.

• Use a metal tape for accuracy
• Measure in centimeters or inches
• Write down all measurements

Measure the width of your window at three points: top, middle, and bottom. Use the widest measurement.

• Measure inside the window frame
• Add 2-4 inches on each side for fullness
• For outside mount, measure the area you want to cover

Measure from the top of the window frame (or desired rod position) to where you want the curtain to end.

• For floor-length, measure to the floor
• For sill-length, measure to the window sill
• Add extra length for puddling effect if desired

Note any obstructions like radiators, furniture, or window handles that might affect curtain placement.

• Mark obstructions on your sketch
• Consider clearance needed
• Plan for curtain stack-back space

Measure twice to ensure accuracy. Small errors can result in curtains that don't fit properly.

• Verify all measurements
• Check for level windows
• Note any irregularities
